Mr. Lowery is an experienced trial attorney who has been practicing criminal and family law in the Fredericksburg area for more than 20 years.
A native of Northern Virginia, Mr. Lowery received his law degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, in 1986. After graduation, he worked as a prosecutor for seven years, serving as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for the Cities of Alexandria and Fredericksburg. When he subsequently moved into private practice in 1993, he established two successful partnerships: The first was the law firm of Ellis & Lowery in Spotsylvania County; the second was the law firm of Rinehart, Lowery, Strentz & Butler, which eventually became the largest family law practice in Stafford County.
In 2011, Mr. Lowery established a solo practice in the City of Fredericksburg, where he continues to specialize in criminal and family law. He devotes the bulk of his criminal practice to the defense of serious traffic infractions (DUI, reckless driving, speeding), and felonies and misdemeanors in local courts. His family law practice includes, but is not limited to, divorce, property settlement agreements, child custody and visitation, child support and spousal support.
Mr. Lowery is in court almost every day throughout the Fredericksburg area, primarily in the City and in the counties of Spotsylvania and Stafford. His practice also takes him to court in the surrounding counties of King George, Caroline and Orange.
Mr. Lowery is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fredericksburg Bar Association.
